SEO: Who need it anyway?

Back to 5 year ago when I was first impressed with getting business on the internet. I've learned something about optimizing blog or website called SEO aka Search Engine Optimizer. And just a minute ago I checked this blog ranked on Google, and here's the result (a quite shocking though!)
 
 It's amazing to see my piece of work displayed on Google search result, imagine being 4th place without doing some SEO stuffs ( 4 out of 2.5 millions !!)
Even the other keywords took my other post about JB on 1st place!! (but this only out of 3 thousand something)
Five years ago I'll  do anything to get my website being at least big top five on search result. I spent at least 50 to 100 USD just to do that "optimizing" stuffs- ooh what a waste! especially when you got no earning at all.
Right now I don't even know what is the latest popular thing about SEO, I'll check it out later.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results.
